Free Services at Bridges: What’s Available and How to Access Them

At Bridges Domestic Violence Center, we believe that finances should never be a barrier to safety, support, or a pathway to independence. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to offer a number of resources to support those experiencing domestic violence without judgment, and free of charge.

Whether you or a loved one are in need of emergency shelter, case management support, or are looking to connect with others who share your experience, we are here to support you.

What Free Services Are Available at Bridges?

Our free services include resources for both immediate need and long-term recovery goals. Some of these resources include:

Temporary Emergency Shelter: A safe, confidential place for survivors, their children and even pets to begin the healing process.

24/7 Crisis Hotline: Trained advocates work alongside local law enforcement to provide support and safe intervention at any time.

Support Groups: Free and confidential support groups are offered to help survivors process trauma and find community with others who understand. Free childcare is also offered during all support group sessions.

Child Advocacy: Our team of trained child advocates are committed to providing children with age-appropriate care and support during this difficult time.

Legal Advocacy: Experienced domestic violence court advocates are available to provide legal education, referrals, assistance, and accompaniment as you navigate court proceedings. 

Case Management: We offer individualized support to help survivors gain and maintain independence with housing, employment, and education assistance.
